So I tried to get up there before and it didn't happen. But I am having a wicked slow week at work and thought if there were any interest, I might take Friday off and head up there. When it isn't as crowded and more peaceful. Just seeing if there are any takers if I happen to get the chance to go.

here's the deal...I live in the SF Bay Area and kind of owe my parents, who live in Ventura a visit. I ma drive down 101 on Wednesday the 20th with my almost 14year old, hang out with my folks Thursday, and could come into LA Friday morning for a drive to Deep Creek (though I know morning trqffic into LA south from Ventura and going fthrough the Valley pretty scary. I grews up in Hollywood area, long time ago. maybe find a friend to stay with Thursday night and could rideshare? pr drive in on Thursday night and camp? I'm thinking of getting a one-week unlimited mileage rental car.
not sure whether my daughter will want to make the trip too. she;s uinto nature and no stranger to clothing-optional hot springs, though she prefers to be suited herself.
any other faily hip families with teens, especailly smart teens, whose company she might enjoy? she gets a bit bored by too many adults sometimes, might just hang out with her grandparents for a day...
Scott, saw your note on other tribe too. since you live east of town, probably just meet you there or
nearby. wone no, greenage maybe. I can pull pretty cool vegetarian picnic food togethr with a little notice.
