The Coast Range is made up of sedimentary rock that was uplifted, so the right geologic characteristics just aren't there for hot springs on the Oregon Coast. Honeyman State Park is worth a visit too. The sand dunes there are massive and go on for miles and miles. They are all on the east side of I-5. However there are a lot of great hiking trails . North , the hobbit trails are a nice short hike into the coastal foothills, and cape perpetua and cummins ridge both offer good hikes and big trees and views. South there are some great hikes around the lakes and renting a kayak or conoe and floating for an afternoon is great. Good luck.
