Hey, Orr's is going to get a new Face Lift sometime in September, for a month or two.... We are going to get new pools and Massage rooms, the whole soaking area is going to get spiffyed up....
So, who ever knows Orr's as it is now and wants to see it again as is, should try and go before the changes start......
Its such a sweet place to hang out and relax in its quaint old style........ With the Redwood hot tub and old claw foot private bath rooms.....
Well, Hope to see ya'll there sometime soon or when it gets all fixed up and lookin' shinny and new.....

Sun, July 23, 2006 - 1:21 AMI agree, they could use the spiffying up and am glad they have the resources to do so. Although, I do hope they can keep that homey artsy feel to it. I really like the mosaics and woodiness of the place. But I trust their judgement. The "new" sauna area is wonderful. I hope I can get out there soon, before they change it, just for nostalgia's sake.
Anyone been lately? How's the weather?

P.S. Don't forget to check out the sculptures in the gardens! My friend Lisa Galli did the large ceramic vessels in the sitting area up front. :} -

Sun, August 6, 2006 - 1:03 PMYeah, i too hope they keep that wonderful relaxed, open, quirky atmosphere & a design which goes with it. I haven't been there in years, but one of the things that made Orr my favorite was exactly that they had such a natural & varied design, as well as the generally pleasant atmosphere appropriate to a place in a beautiful woodsy setting in Mendocino. Hope to get back in not too long & see (& feel!) what it's like now.
