Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has explored near Sykes Hot Springs since the Big Sur fire last summer? The Ranger station says that the trail leading to Sykes from highway 1 is closed and there are over 70 downed trees across the trail. Has anyone been there recently? Maybe there is another way to get there? Or a similar backpacking trip to a primitive hot spring in North / Central California?
