Tips on accessible springs in NorCal / NV

Howdy folks,

I'm thinking of taking a motorcycle trip from SF up into more northern CA and possibly into northern NV. Can anyone suggest some hot springs or hot spring spas ( on the order of Orr, Harbin etc ) that one may want to check out? I'd like to be camping during the trip, but as it's still Spring, I doubt I'll be able to pack the gear to camp at mid to high elevations. I assume I'll be able to cross the Sierra on a motorcycle at this time of year, during the day at least.

I don't mind hiking to get to the springs, but as I'll be coming off the road I'll have limited options for footwear and will most likely be wearing a riding suit. As such I'll probably keep off-roading to a moderate amount. That said, recommendations for future adventures are more than welcome. I don't mind having to keep clothes on, though it's always nicer to be free. I'm not clear on budget so I'll entertain all price ranges with respect to the spa locations.

It may be too cold for some places, but.... if you've got recommendos, thank you in advance.

.c.

I'm at Sierra Hot SPpings now, qwas supposed to snow but it's vlear and cool not cold. all pools are open. $20 for 24 hours, plus whatever lodging. people are really good here, I like the "summer lodge in winter" feel at the main lodge. bring your wn food to cook in a pretty well equipped kitchen. i hour from REno, 4 hours fromj SF, 2.5 from Sacramento. two ways to get in.

this is my preferred clothing-optional retreat, little dogma, really lovely facility, plkeasanht walk to the pools. watch for ice and mud this time of year (I nmessed up mny wrist slipping o ive one Chrstmas day...)

Harbin is lovely too, lots of amenities, and a whol;e village but has a kind of weird attitude about children...NONE allowed to stay in dorms or cottages! great cold pool there though, which you'll appreciate more in summer.

Orr used to be my favorite place to go, but they are even weirder about kids than harbin, with some historical reason,m sadly enough. and I liked their old funky hippie qways but that isn't what pays the biulls any more...

What is your route? Eagleview is awesome but you kinda want to be going out that way. It's nice in spring. You really want to go in May, then you can isit Hunt on the way. Last time I went (last summer) both places had been significantly altered. :(
