It has been a tradition in my family to go on the Easter/ Passover time of year. Being fair skinned it's perfect. Small flowers poking through the patches of snow and sunlit hillsides. Enjoy!

Anytime that the creek is low enough to cross easily is a good time to go. I've been there all seasons, but it's a real pain to get there using the trail from Bowen Ranch during the spring runoff.

Yeah. Watch out for the high run off season. Every other time is great. Summer is nice if you can handle the heat on the hike. Do it nude cause it is much nicer. Plus, jumping in the cool water once you are there, feels great.

Joshua, we've talked abut DK before, but is "high runoff season" more ikely in spring, with mountain snowmelt, or in winter with rqains? or some of each? I'm not really a desert rat though I love it there, just wondered when is the "danger zone" time, or if there is a website to check for road and path conditions...
